POTENTIAL TRANSFORMER are industrial grade power control units that are specially designed to step down the current voltages from the primary coils to lower the voltage in the secondary coils. They are usually connected across the power line in which we are going to measure ratio errors and phase angle errors. These heavy-duty static types of machinery are widely used in metering applications as a measuring unit for continuous monitoring of phase shifting.
